Dream Lake was not the highest lake we hiked to on this trail, but it was the only one that was covered in ice. At least mostly. As near as I can tell, this is mostly due to the wind coming down off the mountain. It pushes the spray onto the ice that had already formed and that chilles it enough to freeze it. Then it happens again, then again. Working it’s way across the lake until it’s how you see it here: mostly covered. 

And cold. Damn that wind was cold. Yikes!
