I have an old clock that was given to me by my mother-in-law. She knows I have an appreciation of old beautiful things. Unfortunately, it know longer works. It just sits there, on a table, looking pretty. It was brought back from Europe after World War I by my wife's Grandfather. We have no idea where or when other than that. Aside from the scrollwork you see here, it also features a sphinx on either side and a puck-like figure holding up the clock itself.
Someday, probably many years from now, I may see about getting it fixed. Or maybe Google knows how to fix a clock that was wound too tight.
