no fancy title, no sarcastic comments, just tonight's lunar eclipse. Obviously these are three exposures put on one background. But I was out every so often snapping off a few exposures... forgive the tree branch in the first one. Three stages of eclipse taken about 7:40 pm CT, 8:40 pm CT and 9:00pm CT. All times are approximate. The red color is caused by the refraction (bending) and filtering of light by the earth. Pretty cool, huh? you see something cool and learn something too.
